Our new workshop series Becoming a Literacy Leader - Creating a Culture Shift towards the Science of Reading will occur on August 18th, September 22nd, October 27th, and November 24th, 2021 from 7:30 to 9 pm EST.
Join us for a series of panel discussions with educators who are at the forefront of implementing structured literacy in Ontario. They will discuss the changes they have made and how they overcame the challenges they encountered along the way. They will provide concrete examples of small actions that individual educators can take to spark big changes in their schools and the lives of their students.
This workshop series will conclude with a special presentation by the Ontario Human Rights Commission. The lead lawyers for the Right to Read Inquiry will outline their findings, recommendations, and answer your questions about what the Right to Read Inquiry means for teachers and schools.
These workshops will be highly interactive and participants will have the opportunity to share their own stories of success and ideas about how we can work together to improve outcomes for all students. Information gathered during the workshops will be used to create a resource for Ontario educators interested in creating a culture shift towards the science of reading in their own boards.
The presentations will be recorded, however, due to the interactive nature of the workshop, we encourage live participation.
