2012 Conference Resources:
Introducing Dr. Suzanne Carreker to Toronto audiences! This author, written language curricula expert, co-author of Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills Activity Book and Director of Teacher Development at Neuhas Education Center, Texas, will focus on what you need to know to best teach struggling readers. As a literacy expert Suzanne will address the crucial underlying skills children need for successful reading and spelling development - in the classroom and at home. Suzanne makes it fun and insightful as parents, classroom teachers, resource and reading specialists learn multisensory and informed instruction that best supports young readers' success.
AND
Separate Professional and Parent Sessions by a host of literacy education experts from the USA and Canada will demonstrate practical and cutting edge strategies that address the essentials of student literacy success by focusing on morphology to improve spelling, phonemic awareness, strategic comprehension skills, and how to analyze spelling errors as a means of informing instruction. Specific sessions also on critically acclaimed math instruction and important new assistive computer technology to support our students who struggle with reading and writing!

- Early Bird Registration ends March 31, 2012
- Pre-Registration ends April 6, 2012. Any registration received after April 6, 2012 will not be processed and will be returned. Onsite registrations may still be available after this date. Call or email conference@idaontario.com
- Attendees may register online (preferred) or by mail. Registrations are NOT accepted via telephone. Onsite registration will be available, space permitting.
- All information on the Registration Form must be complete and accurate for your registration to be processed
- Registration will not be processed without full payment
- Receipts and Confirmation of Registration will be by email only

- A limited number of full scholarships were available to qualified applicants. All scholarships have been awarded and accepted.
Members and Students
- IDA members must include their Membership Identification Number on the registration form to be eligible for the member rate. Please email info@interdys.org if you do not know your membership number.
- Students must provide proof of full-time student status to access the student rate. Please email or mail a copy of your student ID within 24 hours of online registration or send a copy with your mail-in registration form.
Cancellation Policy
- The cancellation deadline is March 23, 2012; there will be no refunds for cancellations of any type or for no-shows after this date. Please e-mail notification of cancellation/transfer to: conference@idaontario.com
- Cancellations received on or before March 23, 2012, will be eligible for a 50% refund.
- You are welcome to transfer your registration to another person. Non-members substituting for members will be charged the additional non-member fee.
- All refunds will be processed 6-8 weeks after the conference.

ACCESS BY TORONTO TRANSIT
1. 29 Dufferin Bus: Take the Bloor subway to Dufferin Station, board the #29 bus south to Exhibition Place. 2. 511 Bathurst Streetcar: Take the Bloor subway to Bathurst Station, board the #511 street car south to Exhibition Place. There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station. 3. 509 Harbourfront Streetcar: Take the Yonge-University subway to Union Station and proceed to the Queens Quay platform. Board the #509 streetcar west to Exhibition Place. There are two streetcar stops at Exhibition Place, at Strachan Avenue, and adjacent to the Horse Palace/GO Station.
GO TRAIN East: Take the Lakeshore West line and exit at Exhibition. West: Take the Lakeshore East line and exit at Exhibition.
ACCESS BY VEHICLE:
From the East: Take the Gardiner Expressway west to Spadina/Lake Shore Boulevard cutoff and follow the signs for Lakeshore Boulevard. Take Lake Shore Boulevard to the Princes' Gates (just west of Strachan Avenue). From the West: Take the Gardiner Expressway east to Lake Shore Boulevard. Stay on Lakeshore Boulevard east. THere are three entrance points (at the traffic lights) to Exhibition Place from Lake Shore Boulevard - British Columbia Drive, Ontario Drive and Newfoundland Drive. From Pearson International Airport: Exit 427 South to Gardiner Expressway East. Take the Gardiner Expressway east to Lake Shore Boulevard. Follow directions from the West (above) From City Centre Airport: Take Bathurst Street north to Lakeshore Boulevard West. Take Lake Shore Boulevard west, and drive through the Princes' Gates (just west of Strachan Avenue), or turn North onto Fort York Road, and west at the lights on to Strachan Avenue into Exhibition Place.
